Donation to Support Education |35 Students from Central South University Attained NMS Scholarships

On June 2, the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering of Central South University held 2023 Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony. 35 students from Central South University respectively attained NMS Excellence Scholarship and Self-improvement Scholarship at this ceremony. This ceremony was attended by the party secretary of the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering Fan Xiaohui, a vice president of this school Gao Zhiyong, a vice president of this school Guo Yufeng, the deputy party secretary of this school Liu Ruohua, the director of Human Resources Administration Center from NMS Tian Tian, and a key account manager of Mining Division from NMS Li Xiaoyong, etc.

A speech was delivered by Liu Xianjun, the secretary general of Education Foundation of Central South University.

This commendation decision was announced by Fan Xiaohui, the party secretary of the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering of Central South University.

Liu Xianjun, the secretary general of Education Foundation of Central South University, expressed sincere gratitude to enterprises for supporting the school’s development and sincere congratulation to honor students. He hoped that honor students cherished honors, continued to strive for making progress, worked as role models to drive other students to endeavor to forge ahead and to shoulder heavy responsibilities. Fan Xiaohui, the party secretary of the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering of Central South University, subsequently announced this commendation decision.

After this ceremony, representatives of honor students gave speeches on stage. They expressed their respect for teachers’ selfless teachings and gratitude to caring people from all walks of life. They also stated that they embraced youthful enthusiasm, always kept teachings in mind, forged ahead with gratitude, endeavored to grow into a new generation who serve our country and our people, actively shoulder social responsibility and reward our society.

NMS began to establish these scholarships of the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering of Central South University in 2018 and awarded undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctors who are excellent in character and learning by yearly donation to support higher education by actions and to boost cultivating young blood who can drive the progress of society. Furthermore, NMS also set up scholarships in other universities such as Jilin University, China Three Gorges University and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, and established comprehensive cooperation with various universities such as China University of Mining and Technology, East China Jiaotong University and Taiyuan University of Science and Technology in technology research, product development and professional talents cultivation to promote educational and industrial development hand in hand.

Recently, NMS successively established doctoral research and innovation center, post-doctoral innovation practice base and national post-doctoral scientific research station, which provided platforms to support industry-university-research cooperation. Now NMS has over 100 members of R&D team. Benefiting from prioritizing and introducing high-level talents, NMS has attained 503 granted patents, independently set or participated in establishing 21 national standards and industrial standards, and been honored as National High-tech Enterprise, National Specialized and Sophisticated Enterprise That Produces New and Unique Products and Little Giant, Jiangxi Province Single Manufacturing Champion Enterprise, and Jiangxi Province Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprise.

In the future, NMS will continue to actively take on corporate social responsibilities, empower excellent professional talent cultivation by educational institutions, and continuously drive close industry-university-research integration among school-enterprise cooperation to collectively engage in driving technology innovation and industrial progress and to contributing in the development of new quality productive forces in our society.
