NMS and CRH Group: A Decade of Partnership, Forging a Brilliant Future Together

2025.03.28

Recently, a representative team from CRH Group, a global leader in building material solutions, visited NMS. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation and exploring future development opportunities.

Under the warm guidance of Mr. Li Shunshan, Chairman of NMS, the CRH Group delegation toured the company’s production workshops, conducting a meticulous inspection of each manufacturing process. They thoroughly examined NMS’s production techniques and management standards, with particular focus on the progress of their joint project—the gyratory crusher. The delegation highly praised NMS’s rigorous production processes and efficient management system. When witnessing the large-scale, cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, they were visibly impressed, frequently capturing the moment with their phones and taking commemorative photos with the machinery.

As a global leader in the building materials industry, CRH Group operates across 28 countries on four continents with 3,816 projects. As a Fortune 500 company, CRH is not only the largest supplier of building materials in North America and Europe but also the world’s second-largest heavy building materials group. With its outstanding market position and deep industry expertise, CRH has earned a stellar reputation worldwide.

The partnership between NMS and CRH Group dates back to 2015 when they first collaborated. Over the years, NMS has gained CRH’s trust and recognition through high-quality equipment and exceptional service. This trust has not only secured NMS a valuable foothold in the North American market but has also laid a solid foundation for their long-term cooperation. To date, the two companies have successfully completed more than ten projects together, jointly contributing to the remarkable advancements in the building materials sector.

Finnish Trial Proves Strength

The first collaboration between NMS and CRH Group began at the RUDUS quarry in Helsinki, Finland. Finland, known for its exceptionally hard rock formations, is home to some of the world’s leading rock drilling and crushing equipment manufacturers. The CRH Group’s procurement director once stated, “If NMS’s crusher can withstand the test at the RUDUS quarry, it will essentially receive a passport to CRH’s global projects.”

According to CRH’s former procurement director, selecting NMS’s cone crusher was a challenging and lengthy process. CRH conducted extensive evaluations of nearly a hundred crushing equipment manufacturers before finally deciding to partner with NMS. The reason for choosing Finland as the testing ground was self-evident. Internationally renowned mineral processing equipment manufacturers such as ATLAS, METSO, and SANDVIK were all established in Nordic countries like Sweden and Finland. These regions are known for having the hardest and most abrasive rock formations, making them the ultimate proving grounds for foreign equipment manufacturers.

On April 18, 2016, after more than a year of operation, the performance assessment of the NMS CC300S single cylinder cone crusher demonstrated results that exceeded customer expectations, reaching world-class standards in both performance and reliability. This machine successfully replaced an aging cone crusher from a well-known international brand, operating in the secondary crushing stage to process hard granite at nearly 500 tons per hour. This successful collaboration not only secured NMS’s entry into CRH’s global projects but also marked the beginning of a decade-long strategic partnership between the two companies.

Shining in the U.S. Market

In 2018, NMS and CRH Group launched their first collaboration in the United States. CRH’s K Quarry in Salt Lake City purchased an NMS CC300 cone crusher for limestone processing. Over the following years, the partnership deepened, and NMS cone crushers demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple CRH projects in the U.S. and Canada. These included the M Quarry in Atlanta, the D Quarry in Quebec, the H Quarry in Arkansas, and the F Quarry in Atlanta, all of which chose NMS equipment for their operations.

To ensure the smooth installation, commissioning, and operation of the equipment, NMS dispatches experienced after-sales service engineers to the site for on-site guidance and assistance after each equipment delivery. Through this hands-on support, customers can ensure proper installation according to specifications and gain a thorough understanding of equipment operation and maintenance during the commissioning phase. Even after the equipment is put into operation, NMS continues to provide technical support and consulting services, promptly responding to customer needs and feedback. This ensures long-term stable operation of the equipment, delivering the highest quality and most attentive service experience to customers.

Due to the outstanding performance of NMS equipment and its attentive service, CRH’s Atlanta F Quarry in the U.S. once again purchased an NMS CC400S cone crusher in 2022. At the same time, Atlanta Wa Quarry also acquired a CC400 cone crusher for granite processing. In 2023, CRH’s S Quarry in Arkansas, U.S., made its first purchase of an NMS product beyond cone crushers—the JC1600 jaw crusher—for limestone processing.

Creating the Future Through Continued Collaboration

As we step into 2024, the partnership between NMS and CRH Group continues to strengthen. CRH’s We Quarry in Atlanta, U.S., has purchased an NMS CC300 cone crusher for granite processing, while Wa Quarry has once again chosen the CC400 cone crusher. Additionally, G Quarry has acquired an NMS JC1600 jaw crusher, along with CC500 and CC500S cone crushers, for limestone processing.

In 2025, the partnership between NMS and CRH Group will center around the GC gyratory crusher as the core equipment, driving forward a new project in New York. Meanwhile, CRH’s S Quarry in Arkansas, U.S., has once again purchased two CC500 cone crushers.

From 2015 to 2025, NMS and CRH Group have stood side by side, weathering a decade of challenges and growth. Over the past ten years, the two companies have successfully completed more than ten projects, witnessing each other’s development and transformation. With high-quality equipment and exceptional service, NMS has earned CRH Group’s deep trust and high recognition, while also bringing global respect and acclaim to Chinese manufacturing.

With over 50 years of technological accumulation and innovation, NMS has reached world-class standards in equipment manufacturing. In numerous domestic and international projects, NMS equipment has successfully replaced imported machinery, delivering outstanding performance. This achievement not only highlights NMS’s technical expertise and spirit of innovation but also strengthens its brand reputation and credibility in the global market.

Looking ahead, NMS will continue to uphold its philosophy of “Professional Excellence, Integrity First, and Altruistic Management,” striving to enhance product quality and service standards. The company remains committed to providing CRH Group and other major enterprises with superior solutions, helping them achieve higher production efficiency and economic benefits. Through continuous innovation and dedication, NMS aims to contribute even more wisdom and strength to the thriving global building materials industry.
