Intelligent Carbon Dioxide Emissions Peak & Carbon Neutrality and Intelligent Manufacturing for Future, NMS and Rockwell Signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On May 17, Nanchang Mineral Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “NMS”) and Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “RA”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement and intelligent operation & maintenance platform construction project contract, marking that NMS officially opened a new mode of intelligent operation & maintenance, and took another important step towards intelligent manufacturing as well as digital transformation. At the kick-off meeting, participants discussed and shared topics such as national carbon neutrality policy and mining intelligence. Li Shunshan, Chairman of NMS expounded the concepts of carbon dioxide emissions peak as well as carbon neutrality, and the national policies on carbon neutrality in his speech entitled Carbon Target 3060 and NMS Intelligent Strategy. He mentioned that in 2019, China’s carbon emissions reached 9.82 billion tons, accounting for 28.8% of the total global emissions. In terms of industry, carbon emission of the power industry ranked first, accounting for about 44%, followed by steel and building materials, accounting for 18% and 12.5% respectively. According to the calculation, carbon emission of non-ferrous metal enterprises accounted for about 6.5% of the whole country. This showed that it was very difficult for non-ferrous metal industry to achieve carbon peak. Simultaneously, the goal of “carbon peak and carbon neutralization” was of great significance to promote new energy substitution, industrial upgrading and high-quality development of the industry.
